A man is fatally assaulted outside a market
On August 30, 1994, Edward McCollum was discovered unconscious near the Gillespie Curb Market located at 1917 Martin Luther King Drive in Greensboro, North Carolina. At around 9:40 p.m., police responded to an emergency call reporting an assault. Upon arrival, officers found McCollum on the ground and unresponsive. He was rushed to Moses Cone Hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries.
