Josiah Nolan Fuller, a 3-year-old boy from Statesville, NC, tragically lost his life on August 9, 2015. Josiah, along with his 4-year-old brother Uriah Allen Fuller, was found dead at their home. The brothers were the sons of Shawn and Bianca Eddy Fuller.
The investigation revealed that Josiah and Uriah were shot multiple times by their father, Shawn Fuller. On the morning of the incident, Shawn Fuller, who was intoxicated, got into an altercation with the boys' mother.
She fled the house, and in a tragic turn of events, Shawn Fuller shot his two sons before attempting to take his own life. He was found outside the front door with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The Iredell County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic violence call and discovered the brothers in the living room. Autopsies confirmed that Josiah and Uriah died from multiple gunshot wounds. Shawn Fuller was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte for treatment of his injuries.
This heartbreaking incident left the community in shock, as neighbors recalled seeing the brothers playing on their tire swing just the day before. The case highlights the devastating impact of domestic violence and the tragic loss of two young lives.
