Emmanuel Terrell Teasley, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 2, 2016, in Statesville, North Carolina. Emmanuel was attending a party in the 100 block of South Lackey Street when he was shot in the head following an altercation. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m., and despite the efforts of Iredell EMS, Emmanuel was pronounced dead at the scene.

However, the investigation took a significant turn when Christopher Moore Jr., a 24-year-old male from Statesville, was identified as a suspect. Moore was arrested and charged with murder in connection with Emmanuel's death. According to the police, Moore allegedly shot Emmanuel during the altercation at the party. Moore turned himself in to the authorities in Catawba County and was held in jail without bond.
