Kevin Dale Cato, a 46-year-old man from Forest City, North Carolina, died on August 28, 2015, from a single gunshot wound to the shoulder. The incident occurred at a home on Willow Run Drive, where police officers responded around 1 p.m. on the day of the shooting. Emergency personnel transported Cato to Rutherford Regional Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
