TreMon RahQuis Pittman, a 22-year-old African American male, was found unresponsive in a gold SUV outside Carmike Cinemas at 3640 Reynolda Road near Bethabara Park Boulevard in Winston-Salem, NC, on October 8, 2015. The investigation revealed that Pittman had been shot at the Brandemere Apartments before being driven to the theater parking lot, where he later died.
Officers attempted life-saving measures on Pittman until paramedics arrived, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Winston-Salem police quickly identified suspects in connection to the murder. Harold Hairston, an 18-year-old male, was charged with attempted armed robbery and murder. Hairston was accused of shooting Pittman during an attempted robbery at the Brandemere Apartments. In addition to Hairston, another suspect, India Nicole Lindsay, also 18 years old, turned herself in at the Forsyth County Detention Facility. Lindsay was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and first-degree murder.
