Nafez Jalal, a 57-year-old man from Durham, North Carolina, was tragically killed on April 27, 2016, during an attempted armed robbery at the Fast Food Mart located on Broad Street in Durham. Jalal, who was working as a convenience store clerk at the time, was shot and killed by Timothy Moore, a 31-year-old man who was later identified and arrested for the crime. The incident also resulted in another victim, Hassan Jolale, a 48-year-old man, being shot in the leg but surviving the attack.
