Julius Smith, a 30-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on July 17, 2016, in Lumberton, North Carolina. The incident occurred on Crandlemire Road, where officers found Smith lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound to his chest. Emergency Medical Services responded and transported Smith to Southeastern Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
