Deasia Monique Washington, a 23-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on October 9, 2016, in Shelby, North Carolina. Deasia was attending a party at 137 Fox Hill Drive in Kingstown when she was shot and killed. The incident occurred around 2 a.m., and she was found on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound. Despite being transported to Carolinas HealthCare System Cleveland in Shelby, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
