George Beamon, a 50-year-old man from Raleigh, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on November 27, 2016, at the Crossland Economy Studios motel in Durham, NC. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m., when officers responded to a call and found Beamon shot to death inside one of the rooms on the third floor. The shooting did not appear to be random, and the suspect, Christopher Antwan Ward Jr., 27, of Durham, was charged with murder. Ward was also injured during the incident.
