Jamond Lee Alston, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 28, 2016, in Durham, North Carolina. On that fateful night, Durham police responded to a call regarding the sound of gunshots just after 10:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of Rowena Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Jamond Lee Alston dead inside a crashed vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that Alston had been shot before crashing the car.
