Paul Shuping, a 63-year-old Navy veteran, tragically ended his life on February 15, 2017, in Durham, North Carolina. Shuping, who was a white male, parked his car at the Durham VA Medical Center and used an old family .22-caliber rifle to commit suicide. His body was not discovered until six days later.
