48-year-old Amer Mahmood, a male of Pakistani ethnicity, was tragically killed on July 4, 2015, in Durham, NC. Mahmood, a devoted husband and father, was working at the Joy Food Mart when he was shot during an armed robbery. The suspect, 26-year-old Dmarlo Johnson, forced Mahmood to empty the store's register before shooting him multiple times.
