On September 18, 2022, in Hamilton, Alabama, 80-year-old Charles Edward Richard Yielding was fatally shot by his son, Christopher Yielding. The incident occurred at Charles's residence, where Christopher arrived and, without any exchange of words, shot his father before taking his own life. This tragic event unfolded while Christopher was out on bond, awaiting trial for the alleged murder of his wife, Mandy Dozier, in 2020.
