On February 10, 2016, 67-year-old Donny Miller was fatally shot in Hamilton, Alabama. The incident began at the Scott Hunt law firm, where Miller was present. The assailant, 57-year-old Jimmy Cooper, entered the premises and opened fire, resulting in Miller's death. Following this, Cooper proceeded to the nearby Lawler & Cole accounting office, where he shot and killed 61-year-old Linda Cole. Authorities identified Miller as Cooper's former business partner and Cole as his accountant.
