Edward Young III, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 26, 2017, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The incident occurred at the Red Roof Inn on Durham-Chapel Hill Boulevard. Young was shot in the early hours of the morning and was subsequently transported to Duke University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation into Young's death led to the arrest of 19-year-old Alexis Shenell Joyner, also an African American female. Joyner was ...
