Tyrone Lamont Bailey, a 39-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 22, 2017, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He was pronounced dead at Onslow Memorial Hospital. Tyrone was survived by his father, James Jamison; mother, Donna Bailey; son, Christin Debrow; daughters, Kalita and Kacey Bailey; and brothers, Lorenzo Bailey and James Jamison II.

On the night of December 22, 2017, he was fatally shot in the parking lot of The Cave Gentlemen's Club on Richlands Highway. Witnesses reported that an altercation occurred between Tyrone and Jyree Dominic Noel, a 32-year-old African American male. Noel retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and shot Tyrone in the head. Despite efforts to revive him, Tyrone succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The investigation led to the arrest of Jyree Dominic Noel, who was charged with murder, among other offenses. Noel was apprehended after being identified by witnesses and was later found at a nearby Walmart. He faced multiple charges, including second-degree murder, attempted trafficking in cocaine, and malicious conduct by a prisoner. In September 2022, Noel pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to up to 24 years in prison.
