Jonathan O'Neal Jr., a 31-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 2, 2021, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The incident occurred following an altercation between O'Neal and Aron Burdell Watkins, a 51-year-old man. The confrontation escalated, resulting in Watkins shooting O'Neal.
