Shalamar Venable, a 39-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 21, 2018, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was fatally shot at a bus stop on North Tryon Street. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 4 a.m. Shalamar was transported to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries but was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.
