James Jerome Davis Jr., a 27-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on July 22, 2018, in Asheville, North Carolina. The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. at the Spruce Hill Apartments, where Davis was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at Mission Hospital.
