Dondre Keyshaw Nelson, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 10, 2015, in Asheville, North Carolina. Nelson died from a gunshot wound following a confrontation at Ledgewood Apartments in East Asheville. The incident occurred early on a Saturday morning, and Nelson was found with a gunshot wound at 12:24 a.m. He was transported to Mission Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
