Roger D. Jones, a 57-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on July 29, 2018, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The incident occurred at the Tropical Motel located at 4306 Bragg Blvd. Police were called to the scene just after 7:30 p.m. and found Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
