Emmanuwell Leigh Nelson, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on December 2, 2018, in Spring Lake, North Carolina. Emmanuwell, affectionately known as "Eman" by his friends and family, was described as an easy-going and comedic individual who enjoyed spending time with his close-knit group of friends. The incident occurred on Hillandale Drive, where Emmanuwell was fatally shot outside the home of Earl Rafel Gaddis.
