Tyron Jodie Ervin, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on December 17, 2018, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred at The Retreat at McAlpine Creek Apartments in south Charlotte. Officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m. and found Ervin suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
