On April 15, 2019, Jamil Davis, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically killed in a double shooting in the Hidden Valley neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Hidden Valley Road and West Sugar Creek Road. When officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrived at the scene, they found two men who had been shot.
Jamil Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim was taken to Atrium Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
