Daimeon Terrell Johnson, a 40-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on April 28, 2019, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred on Catherine Simmons Avenue, where officers responded to a shooting and found Daimeon suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Despite being rushed to Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, Daimeon did not survive the shooting.
