Marcus Moore, a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 21, 2019, in Statesville, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the late afternoon, around 5:00 p.m., when Marcus was found with gunshot wounds behind a home on Deaton Street. Despite being transported to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Marcus was a high school graduate and had played football during his time at Statesville Middle School.
