On March 14, 2010, 19-year-old Caitlin Wopinek was found dead from a gunshot wound to the neck in the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, Jeffery Maldonado, at 328 Woods Edge Drive, just outside Michigan City, Indiana. Maldonado contacted 911 around 9 a.m. to report the incident.
