Dairyon Stevenson, a 31-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 22, 2020, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred during a Juneteenth celebration on Beatties Ford Road, a notorious area in Charlotte. The celebration, which was meant to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States, turned violent when a shootout erupted. Dairyon Stevenson was one of the victims of this violent altercation.
