On August 30, 2020, 34-year-old Jimman Lee Darrente Rice, also known as "Krunk," was fatally shot at an Airbnb pool party in Indian Trail, North Carolina. The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. at a house on Idlewild Road near Hemby Bridge. Rice was one of two men who were shot during the event, which was attended by approximately 200 to 300 people. The other victim, 21-year-old Diontre Keishawn Lipscomb, was seriously injured but survived.
