Latrise Michelle "Treecie" Avent, a 27-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on October 2, 2020, in Halifax, North Carolina. Born on June 1, 1993, in Roanoke Rapids, NC, she was the daughter of Milton and Mary Norman Avent. Her untimely death has left a void in the hearts of her family and community. Latrise was laid to rest at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Littleton, Halifax County, North Carolina.
