Demeico Andrea Sowell Jr., a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on November 25, 2020, in Durham, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when Sowell was driving near the intersection of Liberty Street and Railroad Street. He was fatally shot while driving, which led to his vehicle crashing and injuring a child and four adults. The child and three of the adults were expected to recover, but one adult was initially listed in critical condition.
