On January 31, 2023, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Durham police responded to a shooting in the 4100 block of Sudbury Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered four men with gunshot wounds. Jason Epps, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene, while 58-year-old Terence Kimble succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. The two other men sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized.
