David Lamont Sanders, a 42-year-old African American male, tragically passed away on November 27, 2020, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 2:45 a.m., when officers responded to a call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon on Rozzelles Ferry Road. Upon arrival, they found Sanders with an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of medics, Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene.
