Herman Garcia Prudente, a 27-year-old male of Hispanic descent, tragically passed away on December 25, 2020, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born in Sacramento, California, Herman was the son of Moises Garcia Olmedo and Cruz Prudente Robles. He is survived by his parents, as well as his siblings, Elsa Garcia Prudente, Nancy Garcia Prudente, Olga Garcia Prudente, and Moises Garcia Prudente.
On the night of his death, Herman Garcia Prudente was attending a family party at a residence on
Cole Road in Winston-Salem. Around 12:34 a.m., attendees heard a gunshot from the basement of the home. Family members discovered Herman in the basement, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Winston-Salem Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division took over the investigation. Preliminary findings indicated that the gunshot occurred during the family gathering, but no suspects were being sought at the time. Immediate family members were cooperating with the investigation, and authorities urged anyone with information to contact the Winston-Salem Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
As of now, there have been no arrests or suspects identified in connection with Herman Garcia Prudente's death. The investigation remains ongoing, and the authorities continue to seek any information that could lead to a resolution of the case.
