Eli Junior Gainey, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on January 21, 2021, in Asheboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred at the Coleridge Road Apartments, where Eli Gainey and a 16-year-old boy were found dead at the scene. A 2-year-old child was also injured in the shooting but survived after undergoing multiple surgeries. The police confirmed that the victims were targeted, and the shooting was not a random act of violence.
