Talik Rochelle Little, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically passed away on December 26, 2020, in Asheboro, North Carolina. Talik was born on December 26, 1999, in Randolph County, North Carolina. He attended West Montgomery High School in Mt. Gilead, NC, and was employed by Waught Asphalt Company in Franklinville, NC. Talik was the son of Kelvin Cook and Devin Little, and he had a sister, Monique Little, and three brothers, Malik Little, Kailik Little, and Kelvin and Karter Cook.
On the early morning of December 26, 2020, Talik Little was involved in a shooting incident at a home near the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro. The Randolph County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies were called to the scene shortly before 2 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Talik Little and another individual, Trashawn Torrelle Johnson, 22, suffering from gunshot wounds. Talik Little was pronounced dead at the scene, while Trashawn Johnson was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. The condition of Trashawn Johnson remains unknown.
Investigators revealed that the shooting appeared to have resulted from a confrontation between Talik Little and Trashawn Johnson in the driveway of the home. The two individuals exchanged gunfire during the altercation. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no arrests or suspects have been reported at this time.
