Trevonte Dawaine Parker, a 24-year-old African American male, was found dead in the backyard of a residence on Slater Avenue in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on January 26, 2021. Parker had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The police responded to a shots fired call around 12:13 a.m. and discovered Parker's body upon arrival.
While officers were on the scene, they were alerted to another shooting victim who had arrived at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the chest.
