Shamir Jones, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 3, 2021, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Shamir was one of the victims of a mass shooting that occurred at a house party on Kidder Street. The incident, which took place just after midnight, resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left four others injured. Alongside Shamir, Zieyah Wade, a 22-year-old male, and a 16-year-old female, whose name was withheld due to her age, were also killed.
