Robert Booth, a 25-year-old African American pastor, was shot and killed outside his home on Ardale Drive in High Point, North Carolina, on May 25, 2021. Booth had been ordained as a pastor just days before his death and was known for his efforts to end violence in the community. He had recently proposed to his girlfriend and was planning a wedding. Booth was shot around 8:30 p.m. and was later transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
