Niekia E. Williams, a 43-year-old African American woman, was found dead in her West Avenue apartment in High Point, North Carolina, on June 16, 2019. The High Point Police Department reported that she had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Her body was discovered by her nephew, who called the police upon finding her lifeless on the living room floor. The police arrived at the scene around 10:30 a.m. and immediately began their investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. ...
