William Leigh Norman Jr., a 36-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 30, 2021, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:30 a.m., when police responded to a call about a gunshot victim on S. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
