William Preston Deane, a 70-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, tragically passed away on October 14, 2018, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The circumstances surrounding his death were determined to be a murder-suicide. Deane was found dead inside a bedroom from a gunshot wound, while a woman named Gina Jenette Cross, aged 53, was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on the back porch. Both Deane and Cross were living together in the house at the time of the incident.
