On October 7, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Elizabeth City Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Maple Street in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Cire'q A'mon Boston of Edenton inside a residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Boston was immediately transported to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
