Brandon Jamall Bowens, a 33-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2021, in Wilson, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when officers responded to a shots fired call at approximately 3:12 a.m. in the 1700-block of Augusta Circle. Upon arrival, they found Brandon Bowens suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Wilson Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
