Jacob Dean Koury, a 23-year-old Caucasian male from Cornelius, North Carolina, was found dead in Magla Park, Mooresville, on August 11, 2021. The Mooresville Police Department responded to the scene around 1 a.m. and discovered Koury had been fatally shot. The investigation into his death quickly gained momentum as authorities released security camera footage showing two persons of interest.
