Omari Drovon Alexander, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 20, 2021, in Hickory, North Carolina. Omari was a sophomore at Lenoir-Rhyne University and a member of the university's football team. He was found unresponsive in the driver's seat of a black 2015 Chevrolet Camaro with the engine running. Omari had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
