Roger Dewayne Hoglan, a 49-year-old male from Hickory, NC, tragically lost his life on August 15, 2018. The incident occurred in eastern Burke County, where Hoglan and David Andrew Barnes, a 37-year-old male, got into an argument at a home on Costner Road. According to law enforcement reports, the altercation escalated when Hoglan got into his car while Barnes was standing near the back of it.
