Shonniel "Solo" Blackburn, a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 13, 2022, in Hickory, North Carolina. Blackburn was a father of five and was reportedly on his way to pick up his children when he was shot and killed. The incident occurred at the Blue Ridge Heights apartments along South Center Street, near Highway 70. Witnesses reported hearing as many as a dozen shots fired, and Blackburn was found dead at the scene.
