Antwain Maurice Hoskins, a 22-year-old male from Fayetteville, North Carolina, tragically passed away on May 30, 2022. He was one of three individuals shot outside the Airborne Hookah Lounge & Bar on Raeford Road early that morning. The incident occurred following a disturbance at the lounge, which led to a shooting around 2:13 a.m. Hoskins was found at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to his wounds shortly after.
The Fayetteville Police
Department launched an investigation into the shooting, but as of now, no arrests have been made. The police have appealed to witnesses and anyone with photographs or videos from the scene to come forward with information. The investigation spanned multiple locations, including the hookah lounge, the hospital, and the sites where two cars believed to be connected to the shooting were found.
Hoskins' death has deeply affected his family and friends. His sister, Kandi Hoskins, has spoken out about the loss, describing Antwain as someone who had overcome significant health challenges from birth and found solace in music. In memory of Antwain, Kandi has created a foundation to help combat gun violence and support those affected by it.
The case remains open, and the Fayetteville Police Department continues to seek justice for Antwain Maurice Hoskins.
