Sharon Chambers, a 61-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on June 2, 2022, in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Sharon was found dead at her residence on James Street, alongside her nephew, Benny Sloan Jr., who was 46 years old. Both victims suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Sharon was a well-known figure in her community, operating the B&T Learning Center, a daycare at her home.
